One of my favorites and ironically ITS NOT LISTED on the artists page is GREG KIHN'S Rave up of 'My Little Red Book' (The Bacharach/David number. This was from his LOVE and Rock and ROll Lp from 1985, where JOE SATRANI made his initial recording debut!
Also immensely enjoy YO LA TENGO version of 'A House is Not a Motel;
(ah the New Jersey connection! Ira Kaplan is stupendous to say the least on this one) The Hooters (the Philadelphia connection) did a rather nice job of 'She Comes in Colors' with the almost plaintive sounding RoB Hyman doing a close rendition to the original vocal)
Teenage Fanclub (The Glasgow Connection) Im very partial to them for many reasons and really dig their verson of 'Between Hilldale and Clark' There are many others but I'll let some other to the talking on this one...Till the next
