I read that arthur loved mazzy stars version.

Sure the Damned did Alone Again a number of years ago when I saw them at the Garage, Highbury. Spare ticket of a friend. Do like that tune Smash It Up, good intro.
Hellacopters & Alice Cooper, as mentioned, were great versions.
My band used to do Little Red Book, Alone Again Or and sometimes Can't Explain or Hey Joe for fun and somewhere I have an acoustic version of me doing I'm With You, which was always my favourite track from Four Sail when I had a hissy tape copy from a crackly old bootleg LP of the album, while it was unavailable for too loooooooong.
A guy called Stan Coppinger did a version of A House Is Not A Motel too. Sent me a cd which I passed to somebody to give Art at a gig, wonder if it got there?

In the past week I've seen The Cramps do "My flash on you"
And The Damned do "Alone again or"
Both were wonderful.
