Right you are. Even in th loss to the Broncos last night, Brady looked like the best player on the field as usual. He even cam cup aiht a heroic last minute play to being the game t overtime after the Broncos and al;most everyone thought the game was over. Gone out with what looked like a season ending knee injury. There best defensive plater Hightower out for the game early on. Not a single receiver to tight end form his stellar ore on the field, just hi second or third line players to throw to in the end. Still Brady almost pulled it off as usual. But the Pats just didn't have enough left on th field to protect Brady to give him time to make those surgical passes downfield in overtime.
Well it looks like Gronk is NOT out for the season and his go-to guys will be around just in time for the playoffs and that will be something all Pats fans can be grateful for on this holiday weekend.
Brady is unbowed. Despite all the sacks, despite injuries to his receiving core, Brady is still the best of the best...without a doubt.

Brady is at his best when there is less than a minute to play.
As a matter of fact the whole team functions like clockwork when time is of the essence. So cool under pressure |

THat certainly is a stat that you would not associate with Tom B.
An amazing success rate. It just shows you aside from being the ultimate passer/QB, he also is quite an athlete and tougher than you think |

Way too hard for any team to accomplish or even hope for.

Statistically, Brady has been masterful when he runs the ball on either 3rd or 4th down with two yards or less to go. According to ProFootballReference.com, He has converted an astonishing 109 of 119 under such conditions, a success rate of 91.6%
Hall of Fame running back Curtis Martin was successful on only 65% of such attempts, while bruising back Adrian Peterson has converted a mere 73% with only 11 more attempts. Even more incredible, the average Ôyards-to-goÕ for Peterson was 1.18, the exact same as Brady.
Very few quarterbacks come anywhere close to the number of sneak attempts that Brady has compiled. Listed at 6 ft. 5 in. and 240 lbs., Ben Roethlisberger has made half the attempts of a leaner Brady with only a 78% conversion success rate.
While it was only on first down, Tom Terrific successfully converted a QB sneak for a one-yard TD in the Pats 30-6 thumping of the Cowboys on Sunday.

It has already been asked by the NY writers, Can the Patriots go 16 and 0. Probably a rediculous question so early. But the majority do not question the offense (Brady) ability to put points on the board, but the defense is only average and will attribute to losses. |

Federal Judge To NFL - Your Deflate Gate Case Is Puny

Tom Brady has got to be feeling in high spirits. He nimbly strolled away from the federal court hearing regarding his suspension to resume practices with his team, and a judge basically just gave Rodger Goodell and the NFL a big, fat bird.
While the verdict is not in quite yet, things are looking up for Tom Brady as he appeals a four-game suspension that was handed down by the NFL for his alleged role in Deflate Gate.
During the most recent episode to this enduring, soap opera NFL saga, U.S. District Judge Richard Berman issued a stern warning to the NFL during oral arguments. Basically, he told him that the status quo is to toss any penalties that are assessed and issued by arbitrators (which is why Tom went to court in the first place), due to the biased nature of such arbitration.
Judge Berman was quick to point out apparent holes in the NFL's case. Namely, how they handled the controversy, and the fact that these decisions are typically rejected when a key witness isn't allowed to testify. In this case, that'd be NFL Executive Vice President Jeff Pash, who has not been interviewed by the NFLPA throughout the entire process.
In essence, Berman cited due process. He also was certain to note that the evidence in the case was scant, if any, and that it was ''conspicuously absent'' that Brady was "generally aware" of a plot to deflate the footballs.
In doing so, he also gave Ted Wells, the lawyer who was responsible for the "third-party" investigation, which got Brady banned for four games, the big, federal bird.
Berman also pointed out that he was confounded by the fact that Brady's punishment was so harsh, and noted that there were other, more suiting punishments, like the $50k equipment tampering fine, that should apply instead. He also hinted that Goodell punished Brady so severely merely for his refusal to cooperate during the investigation. Lastly, he disagreed with Goodell's logic that Brady's punishment be the same as it is for players who are caught using performance-enhancing drugs.
Berman has repeatedly urged both sides to arrive at a settlement on their own. But he did say that he will rule on Sept. 4th if an agreement has not been made. This would be just in time for Brady, if the suspension is tossed, to suit up to play the Pittsburgh Steelers, where the Pats are hosting for their season opening game.
Logic tells us that either way the cookie crumbles, Brady walks away with a fine. Considering the nature of his alleged offense, the lack of any clear evidence, and the circus that it's made of the NFL, it's probably a good thing it all gets dismissed anyways.
As for Berman giving the anecdotal finger to the NFL, it's got to feel good to flip the bird to the only profitable, multibillion corporation that still does not pay any federal taxes.

So much bulls@t. But that was funny.
If Brady really did know...which has not even been proven... the fine for "deflating " the integrity of the game is $8,600 for first offense--in the league rules. NOT a 4 game suspension and in effect a 1.6 (or 1.8, I forget) million dollar fine! Really, Goodell needs to be fired for idiocy and falsely destroying the face of the NFL. No priors, no wife beating or drug violations, nothing...just a false and loaded report that Brady may possibly have had a vague knowledge that the deflation (maybe) took place.
It still isn't clear whether the balls actually naturally deflated due to weather and handling on the field, or even that the balls could actually be defective (according to one official). And the officials NEVER cared before to really take care in their checks. And only one was a higher PSI under, like 2, the rest were only a little (contrary to the original false report that 11 of 12 balls were 2 lbs under inflated). Bad reporting, bad legal advice, bad science, idiotic commissioner.
Pretty silly and more detrimental to the game than anything Brady could have done....only so Goodell can look tough after blowing the last four infractions with bogus fines and suspensions--fire Goodell!
Though I'm sure New york fans are happy, owing to the rivalry. Ya, funny stuff and the whole debacle is getting downright hilarious..like a Marx Brothers movie.
And Goodell will likely be going down, not Brady.
