I just have this feeling that if that goes on and on without a resolution we'll be seeing some concerts raising money for those people down there since the fishing industry could get devastated. Before there was Katrina, what did they do to deserve all this down there in the bayou???? |

Posted - 28/05/2010 : 16:41:10 I dont' know. Maybe out institutions are failing us??? First it's the financial meltdown now it's the environment. I think we're screwing everything up. Kind of reminds me what if we went back to those see those days in the 60's where people were quick to sing "songs of protest!" Today not a peep. All quiet on the US front in music!!!

Four times more toxic than the oil that it DOESN"T get rid of! It just keeps it below the surface, and then oil can't evaporate. Nature would do a better job of getting rid of it, but it is just another windfall for chem. companies!
Criminal. The US doesn't have a single deep submersion craft to go down and plug the leak....5 other "lesser" countries DO. And we are supposed to the the most advanced nation! HA!

The horrible scope of these disasters was avoidable....Katrina was as much of a government debacle as natural disaster. The oil spill was not natural and shows how little they really try to avoid this, and how little prepared they are to deal with it.
It is tragic, and criminal....there will be hell to pay and unfortunately it AIN"T the corporations and gov't..it's the Earth.
But good ol' mother earth has a way of correcting itself and we may not like the solution nature takes to right the ship!
