BIOGRAPHY The neo-psychedelic power-pop quartet Baby Lemonade, formed in Los Angeles, debuted in 1994 with the six-song “Wonderful” EP, released on the Sympathy for the Record Industry label. Following the record's release, the band - comprised of singer/guitarist Rusty Squeezebox, guitarist Mike Randle, bassist Dave Chapple and drummer David “Daddy-O” Green - accepted an invitation to tour with Arthur Lee in a reunited version of his legendary band Love. But this was short-lived: in 1996 Arthur Lee was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment on firearms offences. Baby Lemonade remained with Sympathy, for whom they recorded 1997's full-length “68% Pure Imagination”. “Exploring Music”, their first record for the Big Deal label, followed a year later and “High Life Suite” was released in mid-2001. Following Arthur Lee’s much publicised release from prison in 2001 Baby Lemonade were once again invited to perform as Love. In the three years thereafter the band went on to enjoy unprecedented success with sell-out tours of the UK, Europe and USA. Huge critical acclaim accompanied their rendition of the classic Love album “Forever Changes” which was filmed by the BBC at the “Glastonbury Festival” and “Later With Jools Holland”. Arthur Lee even went on to collect a “Lifetime Achievement” award from MOJO and a “Living Legend” award from the NME. Sadly, Arthur Lee passed away in 2006 following complications arising from leukaemia. In Arthur's absence, many current artists such as Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Dears, Siddhartha (Marlon Hauser), The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Apollo Heights and Yo La Tengo cite Arthur's music as a major influence. With interest in Arthur Lee and Love’s music apparently
unceasing, Baby Lemonade have decided to continue to perform the music
they know best. Their first UK tour will celebrate the wonderful music
of Love & Baby Lemonade... For further information please contact
