What Can I say......!!!!

Travelled up to Liverpool from Coventry on Sunday with my somewhat sceptical girlfriend (don't much care for your taste in music, blah, blah,blah.....) to see the legendary Arthur Lee and Love (Baby Lemonade) in concert.

I can honestly say as a seasoned gig goer, I don't think I have ever encountered such a memorable event.

Arthur's vocals and occasional guitar work were outstanding as were the other band member's performances. All the classics were there.... '7and7'was played with a ferocity I wouldn't have thought possible live, 'Alone again or' was brilliant - the crowd cheering everytime Lee played the signature riff and 'Orange Skies' proved that his vocals are equal live to anything he recorded 30 or so years ago. The Band were well received, every musician showing a commitment to these old classics as if they were their own.

It is fair to say that I was well pleased I didn't miss out on this really special event, and in addition to the 900 or so other people who were there on Sunday, Arthur Lee and Love now have another committed fan in my missus!! Can't wait to see 'em again.
