Japanese rock - and how! Loads of energy and the first time I've ever seen or heard a shamisen played! And that's quite a drum kit....

Or using more traditional Japanese instruments and some vocals:

And the use of the ancient drum, in norwegian "Pauke" dont know the english word for it. Just love the sound of that, shame its so rarely used in rock music.

I used to love the Pogues though I sort of lost touch after Shane MacGowan left the band way back in the 90s. I believe he subsequently rejoined and now is apparently recording again. He's a wheelchair user follwing a bad accident in 2015 when he broke his pelvis and seems to have put on a bit of weight (but haven't we all?)

Anyway, this is one of my favourite Pogues songs:

Isaac Guillory (former Cryan Shames bassist) who emigrated to the UK in 1970 for life. Became highly regarded as one of the best guitarist in the world...then and now. You lucky UK fans got to see Isaac in clubs for decades.

This is one of the all time best live videos I've personally ever seen!

Blues Is Just A Bad Dream/Swingin' Little Guitar Man

Isaac's buddy John Renbourn - Isaac wrote a tribute song to John ...

Here are Isaac and John together...they played together a lot.
