That photograph is from 1970!! Some of these songs were not played at Glastonbury 2003. Where are they from, and who is putting this out and is it sanctioned by the musicians?

I thought it odd too, Dukie, and was hoping to get answers myself. What label?? Can't find info anywhere --the "rumor" was started at Steve Hoffman's forum--50 years of Love thread.

Since you shared the Glastonbury DVD with me years ago I have been a huge fan of that concert...

It is official -- see Dukie's reply below/

From Dukie:

This is probably a mixture of Glastonbury 2003 (which has never been released officially) and other recordings from possibly another period. I am not sure if Arthur performed "Love is more than words" with the Baby lemonade band.(I will ask Mike Randle.) I believe that the set at Glastonbury in 2003 (they also played there in 2004 but on a smaller stage), was the Forever Changes album plus two other songs. --Dukie

............................

Just got this reply from the label:

No, this was from the Glastonbury Festival with backing from the Stockholm Strings and Horns. There were two performances recorded and this is the one the group strongly preferred. Mike Randle wrote the liner notes and we have the blessings of the group and Diane Lee, Arthur's widow. --Freedomman

Does this release offer anything over and above the excellent "Forever Changes in Concert" CD/DVD recorded in the Royal festival Hall, London, in 2003?

Have you seen the Glastonbury video that has circulated? i think t is the outdoor festival atmosphere that is appealing...35,000 people cheering on Arthur & Love. A lot of energy. I love it.

Would you go see Love more than once - if you still could? I think of it as another live Love experience--both have their strong points and both are great.

I suppose one problem is that I tend not to like outdoor festivals.... Is the DVD basically the same as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grbabhBllqo ?

My copy arrived this morning. There is a note from Mike Randle on the sleeve which paints a fantastic picture of how important that gig was for Arthur and the band. It was so great to read and really get a little sense of the occasion.

This is my favorite line...."But I equally (if not more so) enjoyed the more dynamic songs "Daily Planet," "Old Man," and LOVE'S magnus opus, "You Set The Scene" - and by the time we'd hit the last notes of that one, the sun was setting and left this beautiful orange and red trail of clouds in its dust."

I wish I'd been there so badly, but hey ho, the videos and this recording do somewhat make up for it.

No official DVD. Too bad. Youtube looks like the one most of us have on DVD-R
