| good for Mcdonald!!! he's great, and a true hero of not -selling-out! Barry Melton is Joe's left arm in the FISH! it's great to still have Country Joe with us NOW! I think Jorma Kaukonen would be a candidate for lead guitarist to replace Barry's absence. but i haven't heard Joe's new band yet to really judge it. sorry. i'm just thinkin back to the good old days and pray for more and more JOE !! |

| I love Country Joe and the Fish. The first four albums were wonderful especially the first two.The sound on those Vanguard lp's were truly magnificent.I saw them at a Love-In in San Jose California in 1967 and again at Fillmore West in San Francisco when the "Here We Go Again" lp came out.I have an import CD of a performance he did backed by the Beavis Fond done about 5 years ago and it is killer. |

Country Joe has a special place in my heart..."Section 43" used to take me to the Outer Limits. Still one of my favorite LP's 'Electric Music for the Mind and Body'

I was one of the people at the back taping the Country Joe show at the Borderline last year, and it is one of the best shows I have ever taped. There was a great atmosphere, which I managed to get on the recording, the band were on form and the sound was good - The only bad thing was the temprature in the venue - it was really hot in the venue.
Still gotta sort things out with work, but I will be going to as many shows as I possibly can. |

Thanks for the info Steve. Saw LOVE at the borderline last year, and thought it was a great little venue, and look forward to CJ in August. |

| Saw joe on 3/5 shows he did in the UK at Easter and he still has a lot to say. Hoping to catch a few of the summer band shows and film them. I have Starship UK's recording from London and can vouch for just how good the band still are. I don't anticipate the same sort of varied setlist you get with a joe solo tour, but then again, you don't often see him strapping on an electric guitar! |

| Good to hear Falmouth went well; Eastleigh and Southsea were also excellent. Hoping to go to Bilston too - got to buy another copy of the new album for my mate, who also went (and filmed both shows),but didn't buy one - more fool him. |

Country Joe Band played a great set to a packed and enthusiastic Borderline last night.
Bruce paid tribute to John Peel, he said John played Electric Music for the Mind and Body a lot and thought that a lot of the audience would have first heard the bands music through John. I certainly did.
Hearing Section 43 and Bass Strings from that album live was sublime. |
