The gigs you’ll never forget We asked you to tell us about the greatest live music shows ever. Here are 10 of the best:
ARTHUR LEE AND LOVE: King Tut’s, Glasgow, June 4, 2002
It wasn’t supposed to happen — Arthur Lee, the lost genius behind classic albums Da Capo and Forever Changes, fresh out of prison, alive and well in Glasgow with a new and brilliant version of Love. Appropriately, King Tut’s provided the claustrophobic atmosphere so redolent of the LA clubs of Love’s 1960s heyday. From the glorious opening My Little Red Book, I was hooked, along with a rapturous audience, who sang along with every song. My lasting memory is of the beatific smiles of a man belying his 57 years. Live music was never so exhilarating, so transcendent, so life-affirming.

Wish I had been there...
Thank you for sharing that.

I think Arthur allways did well in Scotland. Glasgow last year as for Edinburgh and Aberdeen were brilliant.
