Hiya all..was a good summer in London..saw the Rolling Stones at hyde Park.
BEST gig of the summer for me personaly was The STONE ROSES at Finsbury PARK.
Loved this band for years neverthoughtid get to see em..Great live.
The Sean Meadows film Made of Stone is well worth a look at the tour from last year,My last gig was Happy Mondays here in August..good show, although i was worse for wear.
Happy gigging people

damn fine show - they've started showing it late on tv here in the NYC area

Heres me giving a go to his most recent single Talking to you (is like talking to myself):

I probably do Say it isnt so better:

I hope Daryl does that show a long time, cooking and jamming with guests like Todd Rundgren (who produced H&O's War Babies

Bet most of the shows are online (Live from Daryls house started as an online show) so if you must hear Daryl doing an obscure Three Hearts In The Happy Ending track with Badly Drawn Boy or somebody, thats your excuse:

Yes, and apparently held together by wooden nails for their superior acoustical qualities!
It's a beautiful place and they are still having occasional shows there. I hope they can keep the place going.
Daryl Hall has a show called 'live at Daryl's place' on palladia & the internet - he's got a similar set up and says he can see Woodstock from his house! Cool show w/Smokey Robinson this week.

wasn't that a barn?

Levon was just the greatest singing drummer of all time.
Went up to Woodstock a few Falls back to the Midnight Ramble - what a wonderful evening of music and good vibes. Before the show had simply the best Japanese chirashi ever. They said it was Levon's regular hang. Simone Felice's band "The Duke and the King" opened.
Tried to dig it, but they were insufferable (sorry).
Looking forward to Radiohead @ Verizon, Wilco @ Wolf Trap and Outside Lands @ SF.

good tribute to Levon in the most recent issue of Rolling Stone (obama cover

The best band I've seen this year are Simone Felice's band with Simi Stone. Here's their great Radio song with a moving tribute to Levon Helm at the beginning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3PQ0oC-U64
