Any memories of favorites songs here....

Possibly...definitely jazz-blues-R&B influences which has it's African/American roots...which then move to Latin/Caribbean influences...so yeah, some of the first World music, but definitely some of the first to voice feminist thoughts in music.
But I really never heard the feminist stuff in it(I'm more of a we ALL need respect...I don't like to divide it intio the Feminist, black, gay or whatever movements)-- just "hey, I'm a human being, treat me with respect....I demand respect and deserve it..
..and there is some save the planet, free your souls, hippie mantra music too.
