Posted - 02/08/2012 : 22:25:22 I wasn't sure if Maria ever knew about Arthur's "reputation" from Bryan. Was she there at the Whisky in 1982.

Posted - 02/08/2012 : 13:56:54 "One" was a wretched reggae song off Arthurs solo album. I think once he started off at the Whisky with that song for half an hour then walked off the stage to go across the street to get buttermilk |

Posted - 02/08/2012 : 05:44:08 It had to be embrassing for Maria to see Bryan get treated like crap by Arthur. They pratically were kind of like brothers during their time with Love. At least they reconcilled before Bryan died(from that letter Bryan sent to Arthur in prison I get that impression).
"One"? You mean the song by Three Dog Night

Can't imagine Arthur did more than a half assed set though. Hopefully by that time he wasn't still opening with a half hour version of "One"! |

Posted - 01/08/2012 : 22:35:56 @Joe Morris. The Bryan Maclean band opened for Love in 1982. That was when Arthur was drunk or stoned and was bad mouthing Bryan and threw coffee at him.

Posted - 01/08/2012 : 22:35:06 The Old Waldorf. I thought Arthur invited Bryan in 1978 to do two shows at the Whisky because Bryan needed the money to pay his rent. I don't get this 1977 gig they did. It's not even mention in the Book of Love.

Posted - 28/07/2012 : 17:36:52 That's why I asked....the listing says the probable line up was: Arthur Lee - guitar, vocals, tambourine // Bryan MacLean - guitar, vocals // Bruce Gary - drums // John Sterling - guitar // Kim Kesterson - bass
Sounds like Bryan wasn't there then! Good set list though... |
