Some think the "OLD MAN" is Arthur, but I can't see Bryan writing a song like that about Arthur, especially with the way their relationship had gone down hill so quickly by then.
Arthur certainly had a kind of "old man" wisdom in his music & lyrics at that tender age.

I think of him as a kind of Father Time figure....wandering the Earth for eternity and uniquely gifted with wisdom. |
