Let's not worry about all the lost posts. Can't be helped! It's only an excuse to write even more! :)

So, what's the greatest psych song of all time? You're only allowed one choice. Might give me some ideas on what to check out too!

Slip Inside This House - 13th Floor Elevators

with all do respect to Arthur Lee's Love, the greatest recorded psychedelec is " THE FOOL" by the Quicksilver Messenger Service, which is on their self -titled, 1968 album. John Cipollina's guitar brews magic, and band jells , it's a great album! singer, Gary Duncan is currently touring with a kind of quicksilverish thing. the Quicksilver Messenger Service ( black album), is amazing, and truly psychedelic beyond words.even has that great rendition of Hamilton Camp's " Pride Of Man"!!! R.I.P. Cipollina!

I will go with Bob F on Cipollina but if I could only pick one pysch song for my desert island I would go with Calvary from the Happy Trails album, absolutely magnificent track.

The Fool and Cavalry are great. I love those early Quicksilver albums. The absolute peak of San Francisco acid rock.

I'm quite into the 13th Floor Elevators and I agree very much with Cal Jam but for me, Country Joe and the Fish - Section 43 is remarkable (with a thumbs up to Lee Rob )

The whispered LSD one is Bass Strings, used to play that album to death when I was a teenager, the Country Joe Band did both Bass Strings and Section 43 when I saw them live last year at the Borderline to my great delight.

Cal Jam started the thread out with the one I'd pick--Slip Inside this House by the 'Elevators.
But all of these other picks are contenders in my book!

There have been some absolutely fabulous tracks mentioned so far. I love the Strawberry Alarm Clock. Been listening to them a lot in the last couple of days.

Love Country Joe too.

So many great tracks. I'd also like to put forward Gossamer Wings by The Chocolate Watch Band.
